Intensive FCE Preparation Courses for Foreigners
FCE (the First Certificate in English) is an upper-itermediate, international English language qualification that focuses on Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
It is internationally recognized by many universities and other educational institutions as proof of high level English skills. It is a valuable qualification for anyone who wants to work or study abroad or for those who are planning to take higher level examinations, such as the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English and the Certificate of Proficiency in English.
Duration: 5 weeks (5 classes a day from Monday to Friday)
- In a hotel (breakfast included) – single room: 17 euro (per person); double room: 14 euro (per person)

Programme: First Certificate Masterclass
1. Reading (1 hour)
FCE Reading Paper consists of 3 parts. Candidates are expected to be able to understand texts taken from magazines, newspapers, leaflets, etc.
2. Writing (1 hour 20 minutes)
FCE Writing Paper consists of two parts. Part one involves writing a letter or email using information from an input text. In part two candidates are asked to write one of the following: an article, essay, letter, report, review or a story, using between 120-180 words.
3. Use of English (45 minutes)
FCE Use of English Paper tests a candidate’s underlying knowledge of vocabulary and grammar and has four parts.
4. Listening (approximately 40 minutes)
FCE Listening Paper consists of 4 parts. In this section candidates are expected to demonstrate a wide range of listening skills needed for real-life purposes, such as understanding the gist of an extract, listening for specific information, and understanding a speaker’s opinion, attitude or feeling.
5. Speaking (14 minutes)
FCE Speaking Section consists of four parts and includes conversation between candidate and examiner, candidate and another candidate. Candidates are expected to be able to participate in discussions, express opinions, exchange ideas.
